Senior Taylor Adams (Del City, Okla.) finished 18th in the hammer throw with a distance of 25.33 meters and finished in 26th place in shot put with a distance of 7.84 meters. Sophomore Amanda Lopez (New York, N.Y.) finished 20th with a distance of 23.79 meters. Senior Megan Calik (Conyers, Ga.) finished in 29th place in the shot put throw with a distance of 7.39 meters and finished in 28th place in the discus throw with a distance of 21.17 meters. Sophomore Juliana Apfel (Tucson, Ariz.) finished 23rd in the discus throw with a distance of 25.86 meters.
Sophomore Kori Koss (Green Bay, Wis.) finished in 32nd place in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:19.94 and freshman Michaela Evans (Chattanooga, Tenn.) finished the long jump in 29th place jumping a height of 3.97 meters.
Both women's relay teams finished in 13th place today. The 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Koss, sophomore Lawjen Ashmore (Fairbanks, Alaska), freshman Saria Webb (Duncanville, Texas) and senior Shellane McKitty (Yonkers, N.Y.) finished with a time of 52.09 seconds. The 4x400 meter relay with Ashmore, Webb, McKitty and junior LaQuita Carroll (Spanish Fort, Ala.) finished witha time of 4:17.12.
BISON TRACKS
- GU had five runners in the 400-meter dash led by Ashmore with a time of 1:02.51
- Webb and freshman Fatuma Ali (Tucson, Ariz.) ran in the 200-meter dash
Gallaudet will return home to host the Bison Invitational at Thomas O. Berg Track on Saturday, April 30 beginning at 9:30 a.m. This also marks senior day as the program will recognize five male and five female student-athletes on the GU track and field teams.
