MXC: GU men's cross country takes seventh at United East championship

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Gallaudet University men's cross country team finished seventh at the 2021 United East Conference championship here Saturday on the Lancaster Bible College campus.

St. Mary's College of Maryland won the United East championship with 33 team points as the Seahawks placed its top five runners in the Top 15 spots. Penn State Harrisburg finished second with 70 points followed by SUNY Morrisville with 80

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Gallaudet University women's cross country team finished seventh at the 2021 United East Conference championship here Saturday on the Lancaster Bible College campus.

St. Mary's College of Maryland won the United East championship with 28 team points as the Seahawks placed its top five runners in the first nine spots. Penn State Harrisburg finished second with 82 points followed by SUNY Morrisville with 87 points to complete the podium. The host

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet University women's soccer team dropped its last game of the 2021 season, 7-0, to Penn College of Technology here Saturday afternoon at Hotchkiss Field. Prior to the start of the United East Conference game, GU recognized its four seniors Emelia Beldon (Frederick, Md.), Sharon Castillo (Dallas, Texas), Mia Marin (Woodland, Calif.) and Krista Kachnik (Lone Star, Texas) before they played the final home match of their careers.

The two teams were scoreless for over 25 minutes before Penn College (6-11, 3-5 United East) got on the scoreboard with two quick unassisted goals.

WASHINGTON - On a chilly Saturday afternoon, the Gallaudet University men's soccer team fell to Penn College of Technology in a United East Conference game, 4-0, to spoil Senior Day at Hotchkiss Field. GU recognized its three seniors Shane Angel (Mechanicsville, Md.), Raymond Mukhailov (Brooklyn, N.Y. ) and Dylan Christoffels (Methuen, Mass.) before the start of the game.

The two teams played a scoreless first half as the two teams went into halftime tied 0-0. Penn College (4-11-4, 2-3-3 United East) got on the scoreboard in the 53rd minute and added three more en route to the four-

WSWIM: Gallaudet dives back into swim competition after 20-month hiatus

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet women's swimming and diving program kicked off its 2021-22 season here Friday night as the Bison welcomed Bridgewater (Va.) College to the Field House pool. The visiting Eagles won the non-conference meet, 215-31.

The meet officially began the Coach Nick Pezzarossi era leading the Gallaudet men's and women's swimming program.  

Bridgewater dominated and won all 15 events.

The Bison had a handful of second-place performances; Jaelynn King (Silver Spring, Md.) in the 1,000-yard freestyle (17:41.91) and Amelia Oliver (Elkridge, Md.) in the 100-yard butterfly (1:24.40).

  • GU last hosted a home swim meet on Jan. 25, 2020

MSWIM: Coach Pezzarossi era begins with home meet against Bridgewater (Va.)

WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet men's swimming and diving program kicked off its 2021-22 season here Friday night as the Bison welcomed Bridgewater (Va.) College to the Field House pool. The visiting Eagles won 197-47 in the non-conference meet. 

The meet officially began the Coach Nick Pezzarossi era leading the Gallaudet men's and women's swimming program.  

Bridgewater dominated and won 14 of 15 events. Senior Ben Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) won the 500-yard freestyle event easily with a time of 5:13.28. Sealts placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:47.63). Fellow senior Naveh Berner-Kadish (Takoma Park, Md.) finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:24.84).
