Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo spoke today with Kurdistan Regional Government’s Prime Minister Masrour Barzani. Secretary Pompeo discussed President Trump’s recent decision to take defensive action in response to imminent threats to American lives. The Secretary made clear that the United States remains committed to de-escalation. Secretary Pompeo also thanked Prime Minister Barzani for his partnership with the United States.
