DDOT Traffic Advisory: Lane Closures on East Capitol Street Bridge

Washington DC - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will have the following lane closures on East Capitol Street Bridge from C Street to the 295 ramp. Work is expected to continue through June 2019:



The center lane of traffic in both the eastbound and westbound direction will be temporarily closed from Tuesday, April 9 until Monday, April 22 between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm, weather permitting.
The left lane of traffic in both the eastbound and westbound direction will be permanently closed from Tuesday, April 9 until Phase 1 work is completed in June, weather permitting.


These lane closures are necessary to complete work related to the Rehabilitation of East Capitol Street Bridge Project.



DDOT will provide signage to guide traffic around the work zone and maintain public safety.



Motorists should expect delays and are advised to stay alert when traveling through this area.
