Bison defeated on the road at Cazenovia, 1-0

CAZENOVIA, N.Y. – The Gallaudet University men's soccer team played a tough game against North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) rival Cazenovia College on Saturday, falling 1-0 to the Wildcats.

Senior goalie Eric Setzer (Middletown, Md.) got no rest as he set a season high record of 13 saves. The Wildcats (6-7, 5-4 NEAC) took a combined total of 21 shots in the game while the Bison (1-11-2, 0-9 NEAC) were unable to get a single shot during the 90 minutes.

Cazenovia senior Conor Cahalan scored the game’s only goal in the first half with an unassisted shot past Setzer. The Wildcats took four more shots before the break, but the Bison hung on, not allowing another goal the rest of the game.

The Bison remain in New York for the weekend, travelling to Morrisville St. to face the Mustangs at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.
