October 31, 2021 LANCASTER, Pa. - The Gallaudet University women's cross country team finished seventh at the 2021 United East Conference championship here Saturday on the Lancaster Bible College campus. St. Mary's College of Maryland won the United East championship with 28 team points as the Seahawks placed its top five runners in the first nine spots. Penn State Harrisburg finished second with 82 points followed by SUNY Morrisville with 87 points to complete the podium. The host Chargers were fourth with 99 points followed by Penn College (119), Penn State Berks (133) and Gallaudet (156) to complete the seven teams that tallied a team score.St. Mary's Madeleine Blaisdell won the 6K race with a time of 24 minutes and 25.50 seconds to best the field of 51 runners. Gallaudet sophomore Cassie Friday (Flinton, Pa.) was the first Bison across the finish line as Friday posted a time of 30 minutes and 6.20 seconds to finish 20th overall. Sophomore Cassidy LeBaron (Mesa, Ariz.) was the next GU runner to finish the race with a time of 34:58.60 in 37th place. Junior Olivia Anderson (Menominee, Mich.) finished 41st overall (36:54.40) followed by freshman Esmeralda Baez (Los Angeles, Calif.) in 43rd place (37:30.5) and sophomore Alexys Santiago (Hatboro, Pa.) was 47th (40:09.70) to round out Gallaudet's team scoring.
