Colonials Win Three of Four Races
Official ResultsOCCOQUAN, Va. - The George Washington women's rowing team won three of four races on Sunday on the Occoquan River to win both the George's Trophy and the Class of 1998 Cup for the first time since 2013.
GW totaled 16.5 points to win the Class of 1998 Cup over Georgetown and 16.5 points to take home the George's Trophy against the Hoyas and host George Mason.
Conditions were calm with a slight head wind.
"I am really proud of the full team effort set forth on the Occoquan today," said Head Coach Eric Carcich. "It was a great team win and I was really proud of the way we battled in all boats, especially the Varsity 8 and 2V4."
