Women’s Soccer, Howard Play to Scoreless Draw


The George Washington women's soccer team played to a scoreless draw with Howard on Wednesday night, moving to 1-1-1 on the season.

NOTEWORTHY

  • The match saw 11 shots on goal, with GW registering nine. Kalia Kau and Kate McGrath led the team with three apiece, while Naomi Kim registered two and Anna Cornejo tallied one.
  • Sophomore Jasmine Black tallied her second clean sheet of the season, recording two saves. Howard's Trinity Knox finished with nine saves on the day.
  • GW finished with a decisive 7-2 advantage in corner kicks, while Howard saw a 9-7 lead in fouls. McGrath was issued the match's only yellow card in the 31st minute, her first of the season.
