Hollywood, California - Angie Miller (19), a Beverly, Massachusetts native Angie Miller dedicated her first performance on April 17th, 2013 American Idol to Boston after what took place on Monday afternoon.

“Right when [the bombings] happened, I knew that I wanted to have some sort of dedication-- show my love for Boston-- in some sort of way,” Miller told Fox News after her performance.

She said she chose the ballad “I’ll Stand by You” to express how she was feeling about her hometown after the tragic bombings at the Boston Marathon on Monday, which left three dead and 176 injured.

“I love Boston. I want Boston to know that I love them, and I hope that song did that,” she said, adding that the song’s lyrics “fit perfectly” with her emotions.

Immediately following Monday’s events, Miller posted on Twitter about her hometown.

“My heart is breaking,” she wrote. “Praying for all of you in Boston right now, and to all the families of those who were injured.”

She later added: “My heart is going out to my home.”

After her performance of "I'll Stand By You" she later sang Beyonces "Halo" during American Idol performance night with the themes "Year of Birth" and "Diva". Angie sang beautifully during the live performance show on American Idol April 17th, 2013 in Hollywood, California.

Beverly, Massachusetts native Angela Kristine "Angie" Miller 19 years of age sang a wonderful performance of The Beatles classic "Yesterday" on American Idol March 20th, 2013.

Angela Kristine "Angie" Miller born February 17, 1994 is an American singer from Beverly, Massachusetts. She is currently a Top 9 finalist on the twelfth season of American Idol.

Miller was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, to Guy and Tana Miller, and has an older brother, Jonathan.
When Miller was very young, doctors discovered that the protective covering over her eardrum was no longer there. She has had two surgeries to insert tubes in her ear. A month before her American Idol audition in New York in September 2012, she was fitted with silicon spray ear plugs. She is partially deaf, with 20% hearing loss in her right ear and 40% in her left.

She graduated from Beverly High School in 2012. In high school, Miller was a member of the choir for four years and the honors vocal ensemble for two years. She performed in multiple school musicals, including the title role in a rendition of Thoroughly Modern Millie. An active member in her father's church, she consistently helped lead music groups. Prior to auditioning for American Idol, Angie had a successful YouTube channel, earning a current total views of 2.1 million.

Miller's parents currently lead a Christian church [Remix Church] in Salem, Massachusetts. Before her American Idol debut, Angie was the lead singer of the worship band at Remix Church.

After the result show Angie Miller looked pretty as she  attended the FOX "American Idol" finalists party at The Grove on March 7, 2013 in Los Angeles, California.
