MSWIM: Coach Pezzarossi era begins with home meet against Bridgewater (Va.)

October 31, 2021 WASHINGTON - The Gallaudet men's swimming and diving program kicked off its 2021-22 season here Friday night as the Bison welcomed Bridgewater (Va.) College to the Field House pool. The visiting Eagles won 197-47 in the non-conference meet.  The meet officially began the Coach Nick Pezzarossi era leading the Gallaudet men's and women's swimming program.   Bridgewater dominated and won 14 of 15 events. Senior Ben Sealts (Ottawa, Ohio) won the 500-yard freestyle event easily with a time of 5:13.28. Sealts placed second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:47.63). Fellow senior Naveh Berner-Kadish (Takoma Park, Md.) finished second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:24.84). BISON TRACKS This was Gallaudet's first swim meet since Feb. 16, 2020 GU last hosted a home swim meet on Jan. 25, 2020 UP NEXT Gallaudet will begin conference competition next Saturday, Nov. 6, when the Bison welcome Immaculata University to campus for a 1 p.m. Atlantic East Conference meet.
