Yahoo! News named the vault medal ceremony photo of Olympic gold-medalist McKayla Maroney of Long Beach, Calif./All-Olympia, the most viral photo of 2012. The podium photo, taken by Ronald Martinez of Getty Images, quickly sparked an Internet sensation and was even re-enacted with President Barack Obama in the White House’s oval office on Nov. 14. Other most viral photos included images of Angelina Jolie, the Olympic rings on London Tower Bridge and the space shuttle Endeavor flying over San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
