About Olivia Culpo:
Olivia Culpo born on May 8, 1992 is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won the Miss USA 2012 and Miss Universe 2012 pageant, representing her home state of Rhode Island. She previously won the 2012 Miss Rhode Island USA competition, which was the first pageant she entered. She attended Boston University up until she won Miss USA 2012 and is currently not enrolled in school. She was crowned Miss Universe 2012 in Las Vegas; she is the first winner from the USA to obtain the crown since Brook Lee in 1997.

Culpo competed in the Miss USA 2012 competition on June 3, 2012, representing the state of Rhode Island. She won the title of Miss USA. She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Alyssa Campanella, Miss USA 2011. On July 6, 2012, the city of Cranston, Rhode Island held a special homecoming celebration honoring Culpo for her pageant win.
