Washington, DC — The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close the curb lane and shift the traffic pattern on northbound Minnesota, NE from Dix St, NE to Benning Rd, NE beginning Friday, June 7, 2019, weather permitting.
During the temporary lane closure, northbound traffic will be shifted to the center of the roadway and one lane of traffic in each direction will be available at all times. This activity will run continuously behind barricades from 7:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2019 through 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2019, weather permitting.
DDOT will also temporarily close a single lane and shift the traffic pattern on eastbound Benning Rd, NE from Minnesota Ave, NE to 39th Street NE. One lane of traffic in each direction will be available at all times. This activity will run continuously beginning Friday, 7:00 a.m. through Sunday, 7:00 p.m., on weekends between Friday, June 7, 2019 through Sunday, June 30, 2019, weather permitting.
This work is a part of the ongoing Minnesota Avenue Phase II Rehabilitation Project and is required for roadway reconstruction.
Pedestrians and motorists are urged to use caution as they travel in these areas, to anticipate moderate delays, and to be mindful construction personnel.
