Katherine "Bee" Shaffer is the daughter of US Vogue editor Anna Wintour. She was born in London, but moved to New York after her mother landed her famous job. Her dad, David Shaffer, works in children's psychiatry in New York. He divorced Wintour, after she allegedly had an affair, when their daughter was 12. Bee landed her first editing job aged just 17 - as contributing editor at Teen Vogue. She continued to pursue a job in the media during her time at Columbia University, too, writing a regular column for the Daily Telegraph. In 2009, she graduated from Columbia and scored a job working as College Humor website co-founder Ricky Van Veen's assistant.
