BREAKING: Officials say that there are no survivors in the tragic D.C. mid-air collision last night, 67 people are now presumed dead

UPDATE: The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has detailed measures being taken by the branch to assist in the response to the mid-air collision at Reagan Washington National Airport. 

 Details:
- 4 cutters are en route to the area to assist in the response efforts.

UPDATE: Statement from U.S Figure Skating: U.S. Figure Skating can confirm that several members of our skating community were sadly aboard American Airlines Flight 5342, which collided with a helicopter yesterday evening in Washington, D.C. These athletes, coaches, and family members were returning home from the National Development Camp held in conjunction with the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

UPDATE: D.C. Emergency Authorities state that they have now fully-shifted from Search-and-Rescue to Recovery Operations, after no survivors were found at the site of the crash last night at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. So far at least 28 bodies have been recovered from the crash site.

Washington D.C - Moments ago, emergency officials, including the fire chief, confirmed that there are no survivors in the tragic mid-air collision over the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. The crash involved a U.S. military Black Hawk helicopter carrying three service members and an American Airlines flight with 64 passengers on board. All 67 individuals are now presumed dead as recovery efforts continue. Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision while first responders work at the scene.
