Cleveland Coast Guard holds "Bring Your Kids to Work Day"

Bring Your Kids to Work Day
Two dozen kids, whose parents are assigned to Cleveland Coast Guard units, take a moment to pose for pictures at the front of the Coast Guard's Cleveland Moorings Facility during "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" May 3, 2013.
The kids and their parents had breakfast together and toured units located at the facility, including Station Cleveland Harbor, Marine Safety Unit Cleveland and Coast Guard Cutter Neah Bay.

Bring Your Kids to Work Day

The visit was part of the Coast Guard's "Bring Your Kids to Work Day," which allowed the kids to see what their parents do every day to ensure the success of the Coast Guard's many missions.

Bring Your Kids to Work Day

Bring Your Kids to Work Day
Parents and their kids tour the Coast Guard Cutter Neah Bay, at the ship's homeport at the Coast Guard's Cleveland Moorings Facility May 3, 2013, as part of "Bring Your Kids to Work Day."
The kids were able to tour the cutter as well as Station Cleveland Harbor and Marine Safety Unit Cleveland.

The photos below were taken by the children, ranging in age from 5 to 10, who were in attendance at the Coast Guard's "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" in Cleveland. The kids, dependents of Cleveland Coast Guardsmen and civilian employees, were provided cameras to document their day.

Kids at Coast Guard Station Cleveland Harbor
Kids and parents alike tour Station Cleveland Harbor's vessels May 3, 2013 as a part of "Bring Your Kids to Work Day" at the Coast Guard's Cleveland Moorings Facility, in Cleveland.
They were able to tour the station's 25-foot Response Boat-Small and 45-foot Response Boat-Medium.
